Through Hoops is a piece that discusses Casie Girvin's medical journey. The piece seeks to capture the frustration, anxiety, and uncertainty felt during the 10 month delay in medical access after receiving a brain tumor diagnosis around the start of the pandemic. This piece was intentionally written as a vocalise to convey a sense of voicelessness and feeling unheard by a medical system amidst crisis. The work was premiered in September of 2022 as part of the award-winning show 'Bodies' during the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
